D'Bone Collector

I happened to be with my daughter's educational trip to the D'Bone Collector Museum and I was delighted to see different collections of bones, skulls, and skeletons.

An American Darell Dean Blatchley, the president and curator of the museum started out about 150 specimens in 2012 and now it houses over 700 specimens. He is also a very funny guy who speaks bisaya fluently, toured us around and passionately told us stories bind in each collection.

Among those being displayed are a 41-foot long sperm whale. Bones and skeletons of snakes, tarsier, birds, domesticated animals, sea turtles, various fish species, different sizes of the mouths of sharks, butterflies, insects and a lot more.

The museum will not only serve as amusement specially for our young ones but also raise awareness towards caring for the environment.

So if you want to unwind with your children or touring your visitors to Davao, don't forget to drop by to D'Bone Collector Museum located at San Pedro St. (going to Bucana). The museum is open during Mondays to Fridays. Entrance fee is 80 pesos.

 TIME

We are born with certain amount
We die when it runs out
Rich or poor it doesn't matter
You don't "Kill time" time kills you
Now is your most important time
What you do with your time
     will affect you eternally
Time's up! Forever begins.

Arigato..DAIDOKORO DINER

Hitting the busy streets of Doña Vicenta Village with an empty stomach will surely lead you to this place:

DAIDOKORO DINER

A good alternative Japanese restaurant specially for budget conscious like us. (actually my food buddy is the "kuripot" one, hehe..)

It is exactly located at the corner of Telstar St., Road 7 and Jacinto Extension, Doña Vicenta Village DAVAO CITY. (Before reaching Bioessence)

This tiny yet cozy restaurant serves Japanese and Pinoy Cuisine at a very affordable prices.

Best time to dine is during Wednesdays and Sundays because it's "Eat-all-you can" for lunch and dinner. @299 pesos it will surely make you not just"busog" but "super busog"!

Most of their customers are professionals and foreigners, who prefers to have a nice and quite place to dine and have a good chat.

I personally like their tempura, chicken teriyaki, and maki not to mention the buko pandan (it's perfect!). The Ambiance is quite impressive for such tiny place. And I also must commend its good customer service.

Our verdict with my food buddy: (Five stars being the highest)

Food: 3 stars
Ambiance: 3.5 stars
Price: 3 stars
Customer Service: 3 stars

Not bad at all, right? Your 299 pesos will surely go a long way into your stomach. Eat lang ng eat and forget your bulging belly and your baby fats. (ha-ha-ha).
